Make your own ring with the lost wax method. 11th March 2025

The Lost Wax Method is one of the oldest techniques to create a 3-D object and also one of the most satisfying and is perfect for making jewellery.

Gemma will introduce you to the method, she’ll discuss the design implications and then you’ll consider your own design and then start carving it.  By the end of the class you’ll have your own unique wax ring.

All materials are included and the class size is limted to 4 people and costs £30.

You can then leave it there, or if you would like it cast in silver or gold Gemma will advise you on where to have it cast in Hatton Garden (London) or the Jewellery Quarter (Birmingham), both accept work by post.  This will of course be an additonal cost dependent on the size of your ring and the precious metal you choose, all of this will be discussed at the end of the class.
