Politics is pointless if it does nothing to enhance the beauty of our lives.” Howard Zinn quote.
2020 has been a difficult but also inspiring year so far. Death, rainbows and social change…

“Hello, my name is Pea, I’m a printmaker and designer based in Hastings, East Sussex.
My print work reflects my love of words and belief in our power to change things. Words offer us infinite possibilities to be seen, felt and heard. Many of the workshops I have facilitated have helped give people a voice, including myself; that’s the magic of connection through collaborative printmaking.
In 2016 I teamed up with Ditchling Museum of Art and Craft to run the Big Steam Print Project which involved taking a vintage steamroller on tour to make huge prints with artists, students and school children.
I have run workshops at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill on Sea, Ditchling Museum and Hastings Museum, and run outreach projects with The Towner in Eastbourne and the Craftimation Factory in Hastings. I occasionally work as a community artist, but most days I can be found carrying sofas and drinking coffee at my day job at a local non-profit furniture recycling charity. Putting words on paper is fun and rewarding, but so is rolling your sleeves up, getting your hands dirty and working with kind hearted people for the greater good; that’s the magic of community work.
My greatest hopes for the future include world peace and a handlebar moustache.
